JAMES A. MOORE is the author of over twenty novels, including the critically acclaimed Fireworks, Under The Overtree, Blood Red, the Serenity Falls trilogy (featuring his recurring anti-hero, Jonathan Crowley) two new novels due out later this year (he’d tell you more but they are top secret for the moment.). He has twice been nominated for the Bram Stoker Award and spent three years as an officer in the Horror Writers Association, first as Secretary and later as Vice President.

The author cut his teeth in the industry writing for Marvel Comics and authoring over twenty role-playing supplements for White Wolf Games, including Berlin by Night, Land of 1,000,000 Dreams and The Get of Fenris tribe book for Vampire: The Masquerade and Werewolf: The Apocalypse, among others. He also penned the White Wolf novels Vampire: House of Secrets and Werewolf: Hellstorm.
Moore’s first short story collection, Slices, sold out before ever seeing print.

He is currently working on three new novels, Smile No More, a story of Rufo the Clown, his first apocalyptic novel, Dark Gods, and Fear of the Dark. He recently completed his latest Jonathan Crowley novel, Cherry Hill. He's lived all over the country and currently resides in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia, with his wife, Bonnie, and their menagerie, which includes one dog, four cats, eight ducks, many fish, and a parrot named Dos. Must Have Horror

Nick Kaufmann is the author of the Bram Stoker nominated General Slocum's Gold from Burning Effigy Press. He is also the author of numerous short stories and one collection, Walk in Shadows. He was kind enough to submit to The Reading Room his Must Have Horror list. Must Have Horror is a project developed by HFNN to showcase what authors, publishers, editors, and critics see as the most important works of horror fiction that all fans shold have in their collection. Prior lists have been submitted by Lee Thomas, Tim Lebbon, Christopher Golden, and many others.

Baltimore, or the Steadfast Tin Soldier and the Vampire is one of the best books that has come out in the past ten years. Christopher Golden and Mike Mignola have created a story that captures you in the beginning and forces you to read through the night. Lord
